Here's my lastest woodworking project. I made the chess board for friend in Omaha from Tiger Maple and Magore veener with a Walnut frame that included a small inlay of maple and walnut.
Fred, I am proud to be the owner of this fine board. It is absolutely beautiful. The way that the grain of wood picks up the light makes it seem almost iridescent.

Thanks Molly, it was a little tricky to put together so all the squares lined up.
